Although there was social distancing policy, Boundless tried to bring mentees and mentors together with online activities. On 17 Jan 2021, we organised an online Orientation Day. Mentees and mentors were grouped into different breakout rooms. The game was a mock JUPAS application, each one was given a role and corresponding background. They had to choose the subjects in JUPAS according to their interests and ability. In order to get the email address and password of their JUPAS accounts, participants had to solve some puzzles. In the “interview” session, participants needed to do tasks, like doing a yoga pose. During the game, mentors would give them advices and share their experiences in finding a suitable pathway. We hoped that our mentees could understand the factors affecting their career choices.
